About Me

Hello! I’m Dave, the founder of Cyberspace Innovations. Welcome!

I’ve spent nearly four decades working in technology, starting with Microsoft in the early days of personal computing and eventually working with companies like Boeing. I’ve built and operated my own technology businesses, managed infrastructure serving thousands of customers, and led teams responsible for IT operations and cybersecurity. It’s been quite a ride, and I’ve collected more than a few stories along the way!

One thing I’ve learned is that technology is only part of the equation. People matter just as much, whether you’re running a business, managing a team, starting a career or trying to figure out what comes next. I’ve made plenty of mistakes throughout my career, learned from some remarkable people, and discovered that experience is often the best teacher. Sharing those lessons with others has become one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to mentor thousands of people from different backgrounds and stages of their careers. Some were just getting started, while others were experienced professionals looking for another perspective. My approach has always been pretty simple. I share what I’ve learned, offer practical guidance, and encourage people to think for themselves rather than follow someone else’s idea of success.

There’s also a very personal reason behind Cyberspace Innovations. Like many people, I’m helping care for my aging parents while balancing family, work and everything else life throws our way. That experience has given me an even greater appreciation for time, family and doing something meaningful with the opportunities we have. Bringing my mentorship program back was important to me, especially finding a way to keep it affordable while continuing to help people.

Cyberspace Innovations is also a home for my interests in cybersecurity, AI, education, business and technology research. I have plenty of ideas for what this company can become, but I’m building it thoughtfully. Right now, mentorship and educational resources are where much of my attention goes, and we’ll see where the journey takes us.
